We are on the cusp of June, with strawberries budding and forming fruit.  Even though we are very spoiled by fruit in every season, thanks to long haul trucking and our amazing food chain, there is absolutely nothing like biting into a fresh local strawberry.

This weeks poetry encompasses two styles; an ode, which is a celebration or tribute to a particular thing, in this case a gratitude for strawberries!  The second style is an acrostic poem, taking the first letter of a word, or phrase, and creating a free style poem.

So, here’s to strawberries!!
