My blog this summer has been different as I’ve recorded photos, mostly of my garden but other special events.
This first week of September always brings memories of back to school, new beginnings, freshly sharpened pencils and clean empty paper waiting to be filled. This, mixed with harvest season, the last of the summer peaches, crisp apples and tasty plums.
While I am not going back to school (although that is tempting), it is a season of new beginnings as I continue to find my way after retiring from my chaplaincy work. I’m teaching a class this week, on meditative doodling and looking forward to other opportunities to share art experiences with others.
How I loved sharing art experiences with my granddaughter yesterday, celebrating her 10th birthday. We took the ends off napa cabbages and leeks to create a unique flower picture. I was having such a good time I forgot to take a picture. But I did take one of her at Davison Orchards.
