The Lord’s Prayer

The Lord’s Prayer

I remember praying this prayer every morning at school when I was growing up.
I am always grateful when we use this prayer that Jesus taught in our worship at church, and for some church traditions it is part of every service.
It is easy to say it on auto pilot and not ponder the words, or say them sincerely.  I will confess my active mind can often wander.
So it has become helpful to me that we incorporate this prayer, my hubby and I, as part of our morning routine.  Yes, it is good to pray through Lent, but really for every day of the year.
And I find myself praying, “Your kingdom come, on earth, as it is in heaven.”  And I ask, how do I live that out today, in my everyday ordinary life?
I was grateful to be asked to illustrate this prayer for a Lent devotional we have handed out at our church. Blessings as we pray.
