April fools is just passed, and we found ourselves travelling home after an epic week with family.  It was so special to reconnect with grandsons we hadn’t seen for so long, and we are thankful for each visit we have with my dad in this season.
So we came home, April 1, to this sign posted on our door.

Ducked

The sign was funny, and sweet, and obviously posted by our daughters. But I didn’t clue in to what it meant.
I wondered if I should duck when I walked in the door, but everything seemed fine.

Our laughing daughter told us to be a bit more observant, And then I began to find them… mini ducks everywhere.  One on the key holder, another in a plant, one on my chair, and another on a coffee table.  It was such fun. There was one nestled in the game on the table, another perched on the wine spout, and a couple on picture frames.

Everytime I looked somewhere else a duck would be perched.  Under the candle holder, the ice cube tray in the freezer of all things, one stuffed into the tiny truck on the mantle.  I’ve laughed and laughed, this has been such fun.
When they told me I could find up to 200, I was shocked.  I think I’ll be finding ducks for a long time.
I’ve been adding them to my table centrepiece, as I find them. I’m not sure I’ve even reached 100.

It has been good to laugh.  No, I don’t have all my ducks in a row, but hey, I have a lot of ducks!
